Summertime is here, which means spending days outside, enjoying cool evenings in the backyard, and finding any excuse to go for a picnic. Nut Butter Yogurt Banana Smoothies

All you need to make this healthy and tasty snack is a blender, popsicle molds, popsicle sticks, and some yummy ingredients. Your kids can easily join in on making these refreshing popsicles while you throw ingredients in the blender and freeze them for later. Just cut up some banana slices, add a scoop of peanut butter or your nut butter of choice, and add a few scoops of low-fat yogurt or a non-dairy alternative into a blender. Then, just pour the mixture into your popsicle molds with the sticks, and you have a perfect tasty treat your whole family can enjoy just a few hours later. 

Veggie Rainbow Wraps

Your kids can enjoy making a pretty art project that they can eat afterward. Cut up some tortillas into roughly 6-inch squares and apply some cream cheese or a non-dairy spread. Then, cut up some veggies in various colors, such as bell peppers, celery, edamame, and tomatoes. Arrange the cut-up veggies into small bowls and have your kids create their colorful rainbows with their favorite veggies. Once you’ve all shown each other your lovely creations, you can wrap it all up and indulge in your delicious snacks. You can also use a sweet base and use berries and fruits for a healthy dessert if you want as well.

Pizza Kebabs

This is a fun snack idea that your whole family can enjoy while you enjoy an outdoor picnic. Cut up some flatbread, cheese, veggies, and meats and arrange them in small serving dishes. Give everyone a kebab stick and a dish of pizza sauce so they can grab their favorite ingredients together to dip in their sauce for a tasty little appetizer.
